What is the The Arc Davidson County & Greater Nashville?
The Arc was founded in 1952 by parents and friends of children and adults with intellectual disabilities. We are Nashville's chapter of The Arc of The United States, the nation's largest membership disability organization.

Our members are people with disabilities as well and their families, friends and supporters in Davidson and surrounding counties. We support, protect, and advocate on behalf of more than five thousand children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Over seven hundred individuals are enrolled in our service and support program in Davidson and twenty other counties in Middle Tennessee.

In partnership with our national, state and other local chapters, we campaign for public awareness and for policies that benefit all of our constituents as well as other people with disabilities.
